We are VERY excited for our first diagnostic application release, OBDXplorer. This has been designed for monitoring live engine and transmission information including fault code analysis for General Motor vehicles. This can be downloaded directly from our downloads page: https://obdxpro.com/downloads

OBDXplorer utilises GM specific diagnostic routines for professional diagnostic capabilities and functionality. We have designed the application to seamlessly connect and detect vehicles, along with automatically identifcying all supported parameters and functionality of the connected vehicle.

To top it off, OBDXplorer uses a modern dash display and advanced graphing functionality to give you the best possible data monitoring experience. We also have future expansion for histograms and live data replays.

This current release currently supports the OBDX Pro VT and OBDX Pro GT scantools, and currently supports all GM vehicles which utilize the VPW protocol (P01,P59,P04,P05,P10,P12 ECUs). Our next release will introduce support for CAN protocol (E38, E67, E39, E55, E92, E98, E40 ect) which will be available when using our latest OBDX GT scantool.

After our GM CAN update, we will be looking for requests for other manufactures to support!

This application is free for all OBDX Pro scantool owners, along with free updates for its entire lifetime.

The SAE D-PDU API (ISO 22900) for Tech2win is now supported for our OBDX pro VT scantool. The Tech2win D-PDU installer is available from our websites download page.

The D-PDU API is similar to that of SAE J2534 standard where it allows scantool manufactures to support multiple dealership softwares by meeting the D-PDU (ISO 22900) compliance. For GM, tech2win is the only diagnostic application they provide to the public which supports this API.

This new release allows our OBDX Pro VT to work with tech2win which is a professional GM diagnostic application that allows dealership grade diagnostics. Tech2win allows performing diagnostics on multiple GM vehicles, typically in the range of 1990 through to 2012, this application can be purchased from the acdelco website.

We have tested the OBDX Pro VT with tech2win on P01 and P59 ECUs (From a VY LS1 5.7 V8 and VZ LS1 5.7L V8), it will also work with any other GM ECU which supports the SAE J1850-VPW protocol.

The SAE J2534 standard is now supported for our OBDX pro VT scantool. The J2534 installer is available from our websites download page.

J2534 is one of the most heavily used standards around the world which is typically used with dealership software or various commercial software. We have tested our J2534 API using GM’s SPS1 and Techline Connect software for performing updates on GM P01 and P59 ECUs but will also work on any other GM ECUs which use the SAE J1850-VPW OBD2 diagnostic protocol.

This release marks an important milestone as the addition of J2534 support has now bridged the gap between basic and dealership grade diagnostics which is available to everyone.

As always, we are always excited to hear your feedback so we can further progress our supported product line!
